The Wye’s Got Talent charity competition is just around the corner. This is your chance to perform in front of a live audience, win some fantastic prizes and become Wye’s next superstar! There will be a Talent Show, Showcasing the best talent Wye has got to offer, and an After Show Party with live music including an exclusive live performance from 'Emily' the UK's next R&B Soul sensation, courtesy of www.popsessions.co.uk. The competition will be run in partnership with Lady Joanna Thornhill School (www.ladyj.kent.sch.uk), Wye business association (www.wyebusiness.org.uk) and Wye church. Its purpose is to raise money to invest in the youth (ages 13-18) of Wye and to have a lot of fun doing it!! Prizes Some fantastic prizes have already been donated. You could win a day in a recording studio to create your own chart topping mp3 (Pop Sessions). You could perfect your plié or polish your polka with a course of lessons at the Dance warehouse (www.dancewarehouse.info). There are also fun days out, vouchers from great stores and cash!! The categories will be: Dance From Latin to Ballet, Krumping to Jookin. Solo or troupe this category is for anyone who can dance, in whatever style! Music If you think you can sing, play an instrument or both, this category is for you. The charts are waiting! Entertainment This category is for anyone who fancies themselves as a stand up comedian, or perhaps you’re the next David Blaine? Maybe you think you have created a rival for Monty Python or you can deliver a sonnet better then Olivier! It costs £5 to enter and you can apply here. Just click on ‘Apply Now!’ and fill in the form on-line. Alternatively you can pick up an application form at Wye News, Wye Church or Lady Joanna Thornhill School. All applications must be received after 1st August may not be considered.
